See what readers are saying about Marlene’s new book, Eat What You Love…

This is the best cookbook hands down! I have tried 2 to 3 recipes a week and every one of them has been excellent tasting! Who knew healthier could taste better?!! I have already recommended this book to family and many friends.

I have 100+ cookbooks…and this is my current favorite!! I’m so impressed with this cookbook. My husband is borderline diabetic, and I’m currently doing Weight Watchers (10 lbs. to go…Woo Hoo!). We have enjoyed every recipe we’ve tried (Skillet Parmesan Chicken, Zucchini Muffins, Chocolate Cake, Pudding Milkshakes, Banana Cake, Ham and Cheese Biscuits, and the list goes on). I’ve purchased several cookbooks over the years with lighter-version recipes and this is, by far, the best. I love my book so much that I pick it up throughout the week and say to myself, “What can we try next?”

“Cutting calories never tasted so good!!! Our favorites: Chicken Curry In A Hurry, the frittatas, Fresh Zucchini Muffins, BBQ Chicken Quesadillas, Fajita Beef Salad, Greek Style Couscous…. I could go on and on. Oh, and the Peanut Butter Mousse is to die for! I just finished making the Classic Hot Artichoke Dip and the Warm Cinnamon Apple Crisp (but I made it with fresh blueberries) as our contribution to the family Fourth of July picnic. This cookbook gets my highest recommendation.”

“This cookbook is FANTASTIC!!! Eat What You Love has taught me how to cook healthy and DELICIOUS food for my family. My 9-year-old son has LOVED every recipe that I have made from this book and he is a picky eater–in fact, my entire family has loved them. There are several recipes in this book that you would see on a restaurant menu, that have all of the restaurant flavor without all of the bad stuff. Bottom line: Marlene’s recipes are delicious, healthy, and quick….and you gotta love that! :)

“Rarely do I review something, but I wanted others to know just how good this cookbook really is. I was diagnosed with type two diabetes in January 2010 and have struggled to find recipes and learn cooking techniques that would help me keep my glucose levels in check. I bought this cookbook in February, and it is now a staple in my kitchen. Every recipe I have tried has been delicious, nutritious, and what’s more – my husband and 17-year-old son loved them as well. My sugar levels have improved, and so far I’ve lost thirty pounds.

This review is being written by myself and my 15 & 10 year old daughters. The cookbook is VERY family friendly. Our 83 yr old grandmother lives with us and she’s a brittle diabetic. This book has been a blessing. She can eat what we can, but in the proportions she needs, and we’re eating healthy. I’ve made about 20-25 recipes and the whole family loves them and is asking for more!!! (Amazingly true…it’s my 15 year old who’s done all the cooking. This cookbook has spurred her to learn to cook …

This cookbook is the best purchase I have ever made! I bought it about a month ago and have tried several different drinks and dishes from it and I have yet to find anything that I did not like. My family members are very impressed with it as well. I have several cookbooks and so far this cookbook is used far more times than any of the others that I have. I will be buying more copies to give as gifts to friends and family.

I’ve been a diabetic for 40 yrs and food has never tasted so good. I’m also following Weight Watchers so the added points make life very easy. My husband can not tell that he is eating healthy food. I keep this cookbook out on my counter all the time. Terrific! I can’t say enough about it. Everyone should have this cookbook.

“Love, love, love this book. Yes, we are weight watching and the book does give Weight Watchers points, but even if your not this is just good food that happens to be good for you. After my purchase I had family and friends wanting the book.

I don’t say this about too many things but, I absolutely love this cookbook. I started using it from day one and have made several dishes from it for my family. So far, everything has been delicious. I’ve even started planning my weekly meals and grocery shopping using the wide variety of recipes in the book . “Eat What You Love” makes eating healthy very easy to do. I’m ordering two more books to give as gifts. I hope that we continue to see more cookbooks from Marlene Koch.”

I need to lose weight and it has just about been impossible, even with portion control. I’ve been using Marlene’s recipes for a little more than a week and have lost 5 #. I’m so encouraged. I never feel hungry and always have something good to eat. It is just fantabulous. I would highly recommend this book to everyone.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this book! I started off with Marlene’s Sensational Splenda recipes and those were great so I was eagerly awaiting the arrival of this cookbook. It was definitely worth the wait! I have made many recipes so far and everything has turned out wonderfully. I used to never cook; hated to. Her recipes are easy to follow and not complicated, and the ingredients are easy to find. I’m already losing weight within a few weeks of making these recipes. No longer want or crave fast food. This book has changed my way of eating and I feel healthier.

This is the best cookbook I’ve ever purchased. Just by following it I’ve lost weight. Every dish I have made is very tasty. I would recommend it to everyone. I have purchased several of these as gifts for friends who have found diet food boring and they also rave about the receipes.

Midwest Book Review 6/18/2010

I have literally shelves full of cookbooks. Eat What You Love is without exception my favorite cookbook. It has become my go-to-cookbook. You have created a manual for putting delicious healthy food on the table. I can have a quality meal that I would be proud to serve not only to my husband – but to anyone that we have over for dinner – and quickly to boot. Thank you for making a healthy eating cookbook that produces dishes that are so good. No bland ‘diet food’ in this baby!!

We have started a new family tradition of a family get together for dinner on Sunday’s using your book. Last night we made the Chicken Parmesan and Cherry Berry Pie Cups. DELICIOUS! It was a HUGE hit. Thanks for delicious and easy to follow recipes.

Your Unbelievable Chocolate Cake is, well, UNBELIEVABLE!! So moist, so easy, sooo good!

Thank you for all the work you have put into your great recipes. I had gastric bypass surgery 3 years ago and have to watch the sugar content in everything I eat. Your recipes have given me many great meals that not only I enjoy, but my whole family does as well.

More reviews for Marlene’s sensational recipes.

Your cookbooks have been wonderful. Using your recipes have helped to change our lives. My husband, Kevin was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in May 2007. His A1C was a 14.4 (yes 14.4) and as a result of education, lifestyle changes and using recipes from your cookbooks Kevin A1C was a 6.2 three months later. He continues to keep his A1C in the 6. range. With one of your fantastic recipes, we were even able to have the most wonderful wedding cake on September 7, 2008.

Let me start by saying that not one of your recipes has been anything but DELICIOUS! ….OH MY GOSH are they YUMMY!!! As anyone who cares for someone with diabetes can attest, it is really hard to keep blood sugar levels within an acceptable level with regular recipes. You just cannot do it. So all of the really “good stuff” like muffins, cookies, and cheesecake are totally off limits. With your recipes we all get to enjoy really great food that is actually HEALTHY for the ENTIRE Family and good enough to have family and friends ask when the next new recipes are coming so that they can be first in line for the taste tests!! THANK YOU.

With Americans averaging 31 teaspoons of sugar a day, it’s time to get serious about cutting back! Marlene’s recipes help you do just that. With mouthwatering desserts that are just as sweet with little or no sugar, Marlene knows how to let you have your cake and eat it too.

I have NEVER written to an author before but had to send you a note. I am current Weight Watchers member having lost 46 pounds. I am now trying to balance my losing weight with diabetes and it is no easy task. It takes planning and a conscious effort to have good tasting food. You alone however have made a HUGE change in my life…you have made living healthy so much easier and delicious, not only for me but for my entire family. You’ll never know how much praise and thanks I give you.

I have your book Marlene Koch’s 375 Sensational Splenda Recipes and I am just absolutely amazed. I try something new 1-2 times per week, and make notes on each page after I try the recipe. Every single recipe I’ve tried has notes like “Fabulous!” “Incredible!” “The Best Dessert Ever!”….every single one. Your cookbook is the only one I ever reach for. I just wanted to thank you for superb work. I wish you were on the Food Network.

I’ve used the book every week since buying it and have effortlessly lost weight. The recipes are pure genius, combining replaced/decreased sugar with healthy eating principles such as low fat, low sodium. The coffee cake recipes alone are worth the book price and the recipes are adaptable; I added blueberries to the Simple Cinnamon Coffee cake recipe and got rave reviews. Everything I’ve made from this book tastes great.

Low-sugar diabetes baking has never been better. Marlene’s delicious recipes, ranging from Amazing Creampuffs to Unbelievable Chocolate Cake, fit easily into diabetes or low-calorie meal plans with taste and portion sizes that truly satisfy.

Thank you for all the work you have put into your great recipes. I had gastric bypass surgery 3 years ago and have to watch the sugar content in everything I eat. Your recipes have given me many great meals that not only I enjoy, but my whole family does as well.

I tried the Banana Muffins recipe in your book, Marlene Koch’s 375 Sensational Recipes, quite honestly expecting them to taste like “diet food.” Wow! Was I ever surprised! I liked the muffins so much, I made them for friends and family who loved them so much they begged me to make more. My husband raved about the Banana Muffins to his doctor who promptly rushed out to buy the book for himself! This cookbook is the only one I have in my kitchen now (and my doctor says the same thing!).
Kristen Prescott, Arizona, California

You will not believe Marlene’s recipes are low in anything! It’s like she’s put a little bit of magic into each recipe. Not only do I make her recipes for myself, I am proud to serve them to my guests.”
James Decker, Executive Chef, Past Member of Team USA International Culinary Olympics

I just want to thank-you. I have enjoyed your books tremendously. They have helped both my husband and I lose weight and in my husband’s case keep his diabetes under control. Best of all we don’t have to give up anything, including the great taste of the foods we love.
Julia MacPete, San Diego, California

THIS IS IT! 10 years on Weight Watchers and I have never had cookbooks like this. For the first time I can bake all the things I love, have them taste and look great AND be low in points!
I have an incurable sweet tooth that I have satisfied with lots of things like skinny cows and low fat ice cream but sometimes you just need real homebaked goodies! Especially for the holidays or birthdays. My hat’s definitely off to this author. A real bonus is that she doesn’t skimp on the portion sizes to get the calories low.
Other great info: Marlene gives you a lot of great nutrition information, baking and serving tips, and all the weight watching points. If you are diabetic the diabetic exchanges are included and the carbohydrate is very low. My sister has diabetes and is even more excited than me about what Marlene does. (She says these are very easy to fit into her meal plan.)

Thank-you for your Fantastic Cookbook. My son is a wrestler and has always had to struggle with his weight – until now! We have been using many of the recipes, and not only is he enjoying eating more than before, he no longer has to worry about gaining weight. He really looks forward to all your great recipes and I can be assured he is eating healthy. Thanks from our entire family. ” (We all enjoy the great food right along with him.)
