Treat Yourself to The Elvis Oat Bowl!

Playing in the kitchen creating new breakfast recipes last week got my kitchen assistants and I inspired to find delicious ways to doctor up an ordinary bowl of oatmeal. Reminicing that peanut butter and banana sandwiches were said to be a favorite of Elvis Presley, we promptly declared this highly satisfying bowl – The Elvis Oat Bowl. Enjoy!

For me, there’s no time better time than summer to shop the produce section. Eaten just as they are, blueberries are the perfect example good health delivered with great taste. Recent studies show blueberries not only have one of the highest levels of antioxidants of any food, they are incredibly powerful when it comes to reducing breast cancer tumors.

Fashioned after one of my favorite entree’s, this particular dish, from my new book, Eat More of What You Love, pairs dried plums (also known as prunes), with tender pork tenderloin. It’s quick, easy, delicious, impressive, and elegant enough to be served on the best occasions.
